The fourth floor closure to UCF’s John C. Hitt Library is starting to see its effects on the building's limited capacity as the 2024 fall term introduces more students to campus.“Our primary challenge had been the temporary loss of study space for students," Shawn Perry, director of marketing communications II, said. Writing for The Charge about the fourth floor closure of the John C. Hitt Library was written to answer deep questions asked by myself and various peers. When I was given the chance to pitch a story, I wanted to reach an audience that had been asking

questions for months: "what was happening with floor four?". I was able to provide a long-awaited answer to that question for myself, peers, and people wanting to know about the campus they love.
