About Sophie Natasha

Growing up, it was always me who held the camera and told people to pose as I captured a memory. I was the type of student who always wanted to write instead of study the multiplication tables. In a mathematics household, this was definitely a change but it only make me want to learn more about the opportunities available. When I truly started to understand the concept of journalism, I found a place that fit me so well I had to learn more.

In my freshman year of high school, I was asked to help with an upcoming non-profit organisation. I stepped in as the head of marketing and took charge of the social media. A love for graphic design was found as well, leading me to dedicate hours weekly to creating posts for people to learn more about what the group was doing and how they could get involved.

Coming to the University of Central Florida, I majored in Journalism [Electronic Track] and minored in Diplomacy.

As a second year student, I'm aware that I still have a lot to learn about this art. However, I am fortunate enough to have been given the passion and want to learn more in every realm I am able to.

“To me, involvement with news is absolutely inebriating. It's what makes my life exciting."
